Colorado Gives Day is here and we need your support to keep the programs our kids love and rely on.

From now through December 9, every donation is boosted by a $1 million statewide Incentive Fund. And if you start a new monthly donation, your first gift is matched up to $100.

Here’s the reality:

Public school funding doesn’t fully cover the cost of the education we believe every student deserves. At McKinley-Thatcher, we face a $1,335 per-student funding gap, adding up to over $400,000 each year. That shortfall affects every classroom, every teacher, and every student. Last year, during budget season, we were at risk of losing funding for key support staff and programs; we raised the funds and were able to close the gap. This year, we are asking for help again, so your student can thrive.

Your donation helps fund:

  • Paraprofessionals who assist with small group learning, emotional support, and behavioral guidance.

  • Our school librarian, nurse, and counselor, who are critical to student health, safety, and success.

  • Specials classes like STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math), visual arts, physical education, and performing arts.

  • Additional teacher planning time that helps maintain high-quality instruction in every classroom.

Are you a parent or community member who has more to give?

A $111 monthly donation (or $1,335 one-time donation) will close the funding gap for one student next year. Donor Advised Funds are welcome, and company match programs are available, too!

Let’s show what’s possible when families come together.

Last year, we raised $15,000. This year, our goal is $25,000—and we’re asking our entire community to chip in. No donation is too small. Every dollar helps close the gap.
