Our PTA's mission is to help the school nurture the academic, social, physical, and emotional growth of every student through strategic fundraising and dedicated volunteer support.
Join us for our first kick-off meeting of the year on Friday September 4th at 7:30AM
We love seeing both new and familiar faces, so please come to our PTA meetings whenever you can to find out what we have going on. We cover all types of agenda items, from volunteer opportunities to budget decisions, and we welcome and encourage all voices in our McKinley-Thatcher community. We meet under the gazebo in the playground when the weather is nice, and we head inside to the library in colder temps. We hope to see you there!

Erin Hoffman
PTA President
My husband Scott and I have lived in the Platt Park neighborhood since 2015. We love the community here in our neighborhood and at McKinley Thatcher in particular, and I look forward to continuing to build a strong community with all of you this year. We are parents to 3 boys. Our 9-year-old is a 4th grader at McT, and our 5-year-old is a kindergartner at McT. Our 7-year-old attends school outside of DPS. To earn a living, I work as a genetic counselor, and to make the most of that living, I love to ski in the winter and read, crochet, take long walks, eat good food, and adventure with our boys all year long.

Lucy Murphy
PTA Vice President
I am Lucy Murphy, a Denver Native who grew up on just the other side of Wash Park. I have 2 kids at MCT and am excited about joining the PTA because I believe good public education is a necessity for thriving communities. We love MCT! When we are not at school, we like to take advantage of our amazing state by hiking, skiing, and spending time outdoors. I am excited to support the school in 2027 as VP and hope that we can come together as a community this year to make an impact.

Adam Levy
PTA Treasurer
My name is Adam Levy, and I'm excited to be serving as Treasurer for the McKinley Thatcher PTA. My wife, Gretchen, and I currently have a fourth grader at MCT and a sixth grader at Grant Beacon. Our household also includes four fish, a snail, and two hermit crabs that may or may not still be alive. I previously served as Treasurer of my 4-H Rabbit Club when I was in seventh grade, so I feel well prepared for this role. I'm looking forward to supporting the PTA and helping make this a great year for our school community.

Hi! I'm Jessica Kibble and I am excited to be serving as PTA secretary for the 2026-2027 academic year. My husband, Adam, and I have two McT kids. Our 9 year old son is in 4th grade and our 7 year old daughter is in 2nd grade.
I am the head of operations for a local needlepointing company and I am volunteering to support McKinley Thatcher to continue fostering this welcoming community.

Jessica Zeidman
VP of Fundraising
Hi! I'm Jessica Zeidman, VP of Fundraising and proud McKinley mom to James, a 4th grader (year 5 for us). By day, I wrangle fundraising and marketing for a big Denver nonprofit—so naturally, I got roped into doing it here too! I was on the 2026 Auction Committee and now I'm on the hunt for our 2027 Auction Committee. Interested? Let's chat!

Alia Rolwood
VP of Events
Hi, I’m Alia! I’m thrilled to be serving as your PTA Events Chair for the 26–27 school year.
Our family has a 4th grader at MCT and 6th grader at Grant Middle School. We are a sports-loving, arts-supporting, outdoor adventuring family that loves being a part of the Platt Park community, especially if it involves meeting new people and neighborhood ice cream.
I am so excited to bring my experience to the table to help create fun, memorable, and special school events for our students and families this year!

Krissy Blackband
VP of Communication
I’m Krissy, and I’m so excited to serve in this communication role for the PTA! We have two kids at McT - Samuel in 4th grade and Genevieve in 2nd. We love our school and this wonderful community so much, and I’m excited to be a part of the board to grow awareness for everything we have going on and build up our school pride. Outside of being a parent, I work in marketing, love to cook and travel, and volunteer at the Denver Animal Shelter (if you ever are thinking of adopting a dog, I’m happy to give some suggestions!).

Austin Vaillancourt
VP of Membership
My wife Sara and I have two daughters at McKinley Thatcher: one in fifth grade and one in second grade. Over the years, our family has come to deeply appreciate this community, and some of our closest friendships have grown out of it. That is a big part of why I am excited to take on this role. I love meeting new people, and I am excited to put that to use by helping families learn what PTA membership offers and finding the right way for each of them to get involved, whether that is joining as a member, volunteering for an event or committee, or simply coming to a meeting to see what we do. Please come say hello!
